haha dunno what to put. Maybe i should spam pictures of me. Muahahaha. I am the CT rep, i shall abuse my power n might n make this class blog MINE. ok enough of crap... I have grave news to tell... CNY banner n lantern making is COMPULSORY! And our class is already late to hand in our proposal. Luckily our very reliable ART Rep has come up with a very great idea for the banner. Hurray!!! We also have a very cute idea for the lantern. Yeah!!! Erm well we have "graver" news... More $$ needed. And i need all of u to free urselves on 13 to 15 feb after school to paint the banner. Maybe not all but try to come la. Must support our own class n fac. Apollo must WIN. Can all of u try to bring ang pao's (as many as possible) for the lantern n paint brushes, i mean BIG paint brushes and a few small de for the banner painting.

HI!!!

ok. i dont exactly know what happened today coz i was away from school!
haha. ok. anyway, i think we should customise our blogskin with features that represent us and stuff. i had linked the other blogs from other classes and some of the blogs have really nice skins. its gonna be a bit hard if we wanna win this competition. besides. not everyone is participating in this blog! the tagboard doesnt really count.
also, are there any suggestions to improve the content on our blog?

LECTURE QUIZ IS OVER!!!!

Today is tuesday, which is my slack day.. =P

After lecture quiz comes ILP. Teach less learn more!!! (I find it a lame idea). Wikipedia has some *quite* easy to understand articles on "Law of supply and demand" and "Elasticity"... Anyway.. i still think the best method is for those who understand the concept to teach those who still dont understand, so everyone benefits =D Lets come together as a class and discuss!!!

About the STP talk today, i think that its very philosophical so cheeem....What is the nature of Science? Do you conduct experiment just to obtain results to prove a theories? Can facts hold true forever? Can you really believe what your senses? Like what alycia wrote, today's talk is very KIish, i don' think that its a SCIENCE talk...but anyway, i have benefited a lot from the talk, i hope that i will be able to get the answer to those answer someday:)

JTS has been switched to 10th or 11th Feb, saturday or sunday night. is there anyone that cant make it? since our seniors dont want it after cross country on the 14th, and most people cant make it this weekend, hence the change.

I am supposed to be studying for econs quiz tomorrow! But i had to write a blog entry in our class blog, just for the kicks. School is starting to settle into a steady rythme, and the days are starting to shorten (relatively). At the beginning, after orientation, school seemed so long, and so wearying. Now I trudge home happily at 6pm, suprised to be going home at such a reasonable hour. MaD was really interesting/ challenging/ new. We had orientation, but as usual, due to STP enrichment, i missed the start ( all the krumping, all the whacko-ing, all the snacks!) But we have learnt another 4 eights of our hip hop dance, and learnt to pop, moon walk :D and do weird twisting things. Our dance instructor is *gasp* our PE teacher. I really marvel at her energy. During PE, she literally bounces through all the PT, and today during dance she was really grooving. STP talk today was really KI-ish. It was on the Nature of Science, and the speaker basically challenged all our definitions of Facts, Science and the work of a scientist. In conclusion, i believe that Science is not entirely reliable, and from hence forth shall regard my Campbell and Reese with suspiscion.
One day, i will prove it wrong:P Econs beckons! Jia you 7E<3>

ok. i have to make this post. go read today's straits times, saturday section, page S19. there is a god damn good article by tom plate, los angeles times journalist, titled: wake up and smell the coffee. its basically on culture and globalisation.

he wrote one hell of an article last week too. i think it was also the saturday section. it was two pages long. totally enjoyed that one too. it was on lee kuan yew's dictor-like rule in singapore and how it has actually benefitted singapore more than what total democracy could actually achieve. personally, he is one of my favourite journalists now as he writes good articles which are critical and straight to the point. unlike other american journalists, he is unprejudiced against the east mainly due to positive experiences while he visited singapore and the rest of asia. i would recommend everyone to at least have a look at today's article if you cant get the article he wrote last week.

hihi.. another post by me....

This weekend will really be busy... esp with the econs stuff... its still new to me (and most of us).. so i still have a hard time absorbing all the info.... lucky bin sheng.. finished so many hw... yer.......

Can i just hand up my reflections to Mr. Lee himself???? i wrote it out on foolscap and its 1 and a half page long...... zzz....

And the durian... i nearly vomited at the smell of the polysteryne container... argh....(forgive me, i am extremely durianphobic)

Anyway, all the best to everyone!! Make sure u all are free on sunday ok? Study hard, and dont forget to rest for health's sake!! A few of us fell sick... and being sick isn't nice... we all know that... Drink water and make sure u get enough sleep!! If u all missed any lectures/tutorials, dont hesitate to ask me or anyone else to give u some coaching...

Yeeeeeeeeeeeee...i hate this week...so many homework...so many things to prepare....but luckily i have finished most of them already...haha MUG FEW.....

Anyway, I am feeling damn tired today. Maybe its because of the stupid PE lar, ask us to do so many things...my legs are still aching now...OUCH...I HATE PE

ohya...DURIAN, shuliang's angel gave him a durian today. So good lor, got people give him durian, up till today i still havent receive any letter from my angel lor sob sob T.T...so back to the point of durian, the durian was not very nice lar, i think that its very tasteless, not sweet at all, maybe its a cheap durian. But anyway... its the thought that counts, i really envy shuliang....

Speaking of durian, i suddenly remembered the opera that the aunt sang today "sell fruit"...i think that the aunt is very very pro lor...she has good vocal and personality...i like her, she is so cute..haha...but i definitely dun like the film that was shown today lar...although it is very meaningful and touching, i find it too long and boring...the whole film is like flooded with opera, and the chinese subtitle was like shit coz its so messy and difficult to read...but all in all i still think that i have benefited a lot from the session today lar...i hope that we will have more art appreciation session in the future....

ok lar..thats all for today...i am very sleepy now..ZZZZZ....

Regarding the CNY street market, i think that our class should participate in it since we will be able to keep our profit..HEHEHEHE...i love $$$$$$$...So what shall we sell??? Hmm....i think we should sell something that are simple to prepare...Why not we sell small little hand-made souvenir like bookmark or something??? or we can also sell things that we can buy and get easily maybe like sweets or cake??? Anyway, i just think that we should set up a stall coz we can earn $$$...haha

I feel that i am the slackiest person in the class coz everyone else already have their CCA. i am like still deciding on what CCA to join. Everyday after school you all will have your CCA training and meeting, i will just go to the class bench and stone (coz no one is around)....i just stoned at the class bench for 2 hours today... of coz i din just stone there and do nothing lar, i managed to finish my homework there...ha thats why i have the time to blog and crap now....

i hate tomorrow coz thursday is the most boring day of the week..so many lectures and tutorials...but fortunately, we can see MRS. BOO for 2 hours (1 tutorial and 1 lecture) tomorrow....Remember to bring your jacket or the THERMOPAD that ruibin's group introduce to school tomorrow if you do not wish to be frozen to death...-.-''

hello all!! this is the update on the CNY street market in case u din know (:
All C1 classes are supposed to set up a stall during CNY celebration (16 FEB), so we have to brainstorm for ideas. We can sell food/drinks, goodies/provide entertainment/service, but cannot sell can drinks, waffles and icecream (cos i think the council's selling). Have to submit proposal by 31 Jan, but better if we submit early cos it is first come first serve one, if the item we are selling crash with some other class, then need to redo proposal all that, very troublesome. So YAR! DOES ANYONE HAS ANY GREAT SUGGESTIONS???? oh! i forgot to mention, we can keep all our profits. So does anyone has any brilliant ideas, or like have some connections with pple who can get food at cheap price so we can sell? Dont think u all want to cook rite, do u??
