hmm... never did i ever imagine that our dance will actually be performed on stage after the orientation.... XD

everyone did a great job today!!! I had to help with the ushering of the performances.. so I couldnt help out in the other stuff....(i'll try my best to help out more next time!!)... but all in all, i still think all of us did gain alot of experience today, be it serving, cleaning up, helping the eldery, etc... and we really must thank our seniors too, they came to help out despite having chem SPA tmr....

As for the eldery, i think we should all learn to make them feel appreciated.. i was very surprised that many of them had to come and go alone (if not for additional help). I think that despite our busy schedules and maybe even busier schedules in the future, when we all go out to work, we must still care for the elder generation, starting from our own family... Although most people here dont move out at a young age, we are still indebted to our parents for bringing us up these few years. Is it enough that we just give them the money and let them buy their own house or flats and leave them just like that? Also, i'm sure some of us might even end up studying or working overseas while our parents are here...it might seem to be an excuse, but nonetheless, will this physical distance actually hinder the bond with our parents?

Not just the eldery, I think we all should help out with all we can... It might not be possible to change the world, but one can make a difference, regardless of how small it is. Some of us help out with the housework, some of us have maids, some of us live alone, but there is always opportunity for us to help. Appreciate our parents help and advice, although sometimes they might seem unecessary.. They have gone through the hard times (personally, my father had to feed pigs and my mother had to tap rubber before going to school). We are all so lucky, living in this developed world.... we complain when we dont have some newest phone or computer or something, when all of these are in fact luxury goods. Some of us just take these for granted....

Now that we are in JC and preparing for further education, we all should really study hard and don't fail our parents expectations. They have spent so much time and effort for us to pursue our education, and i think its not too late to think of how to repay them.

Remember, in around 30-40 years down the road, our parents will be like the eldery we see today, and another 30 more years, WE will be the ones....
